Dialogue Avatars

Want to make your videos more conversational and dynamic?

With the Dialogue Avatars feature, you can add two avatars to a single slide, allowing them to interact as a speaker and a listener. This is perfect for interviews, conversational training videos, or podcasts.

Step 1: Finding Dialogue Avatars

Not all avatars support Dialogue Mode. You need to select specific avatars designed for this feature.

  1. Open the Avatar library in the right-hand menu.

  2. Use Filters: Click the filter icon next to the search bar. Scroll down to the "Avatar features" section and select the Dialogs tag. Click Show results

  3. Use Icons: Alternatively, you can identify Dialogue Avatars directly in the library by looking for the small speech bubble icon in the top right corner of an avatar's preview card. You can also click the main "Show dialogue avatars" icon next to the search bar to filter them instantly.

Step 2: Activating Dialogue Mode

  1. Select a Dialogue Avatar from the library to add it to your slide.

  2. In the avatar settings panel on the right, look at the very top. You will see an icon showing two people. Click this icon to activate Dialogue Mode.

  3. The system will automatically add a second Dialogue Avatar to your slide.

Step 3: Managing Speakers and Replacing Avatars

Once you have two avatars on your slide, you can customize their roles and appearance.

  • Identifying the Speaker: The avatar currently designated as the speaker will have a small microphone icon next to their thumbnail in the right panel.

Switching Speakers: To change which avatar is speaking and which is listening, click the double arrow icon between the two avatar thumbnails in the panel.

  • Replacing an Avatar: If you want to change either the speaker or the listener to a different person, simply click on the avatar you wish to change (either on the canvas or in the panel) and click the Replace button.
Note: You can only replace them with other avatars that support Dialogue Mode.

Limitation: You can only have a maximum of two avatars per slide, and only one avatar can be the speaker on a single slide. You cannot have them switch speaking roles back and forth on the same slide. If you need a back-and-forth conversation, you must split the dialogue across multiple slides (e.g., Slide 1: Avatar A speaks; Slide 2: Avatar B speaks).

Step 4: Using Side View Mode

To make conversations look even more natural, we have introduced Side View. This allows the avatars to face each other - the speaker faces the camera, while the listener faces the speaker (showing their back or side).

Note: To use Side View, both avatars on the slide must support the Side View feature.

  • You can find these avatars by applying the "Side view" filter in the Avatar library, just like you did for Dialogs.

  • If you try to activate Side View but one of your selected avatars does not support it, you will see a pop-up warning message.

Activating Side View:

  1. Ensure both avatars support Side View.

  2. At the top of the avatar settings panel, switch the toggle from Front to Side.

  3. The avatars will automatically reposition themselves facing each other.

  4. You can change who is speaking using the double arrows.

  5. You can also adjust the Side direction of the speaker using the toggle under their profile to adjust their angle.
