Overview

Every video rendered in Elai passes through an internal moderation review. This review confirms that your content aligns with the Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy, which keeps the platform safe and professional for everyone creating videos on it.

Most videos clear the review and continue straight through to rendering with no action needed from you. If a video does not clear it, your project and all of its slides stay in your account, so you can adjust the content and render again.

This article explains when moderation happens, what the review looks for, and what to do if one of your videos does not pass.

When Moderation Takes Place

Moderation begins when you click Render in the Elai editor. Before the render is completed, your video may be placed under internal review.

If your video does not include any restricted content, it passes moderation successfully and continues through the render process as normal.

Restricted Content That Does Not Pass Moderation

The review checks your video for content that Elai does not permit on the platform. This includes the following.

• Profanity: Offensive or vulgar language in your script or on-screen text.

• Sexually explicit content: Indecent, or obscene material.

• Discriminatory content: Hateful, abusive, harassing, or threatening material directed at a person or group.

• Other prohibited content: Anything else restricted under the Elai terms, such as impersonation without consent, misleading or deceptive material, or content that infringes someone else's intellectual property.

What Happens if Moderation Fails

If moderation fails, your video is not deleted and it is not returned to draft. Instead, it is marked with the Error status and shows the message Your video didn't pass manual moderation. Please make sure your text complies with our T&C.

The video remains in your account with all of its slides intact, so nothing you have built is lost. To try again:

1. Open the video and review your script, media, and on-screen text against the Terms of Service and the Elai Acceptable Use Policy.

2. Edit any text that falls outside what the platform permits.

3. Click Retry, which appears in the editor in the same place as the Render button.

Your video goes through moderation a second time. Once it passes, the render continues as normal.

FAQ

Why does my video show the error status after I clicked Render?
Your video did not pass manual moderation. Edit the text and media in the editor, then click Retry, which appears in place of the Render button.

Did I lose my video?
No. The video stays in your account with all of its slides, so you can edit it and render again.

What should I do if my video was moderated by mistake?
