What is mark and why should I use it?

The mark is an Elai feature that allows you connecting the media elements to the certain words in your speech. The mark commands the media element to appear or disappear whenever the voice says the marked word in your speech box.

This feature helps you to animate the video seamlessly and without calculating the precise time for setting the timestamps for a specific animation.

You can use up to 20 marks for one slide. Each mark will be shown as a different geometrical emoji in your text. Here is the list:

The marks will always appear in this order.

How to apply mark to the slide?

To apply mark to the slide follow these steps:

1. Put the text in your speech box.

2. Put a media element on the slide.

3. Click near the word that you want to mark in the speechbox and then click on mark button below to add the mark. Make sure that you have a space between the word and the mark:

4. Click on your media element and enable the custom animation.

5. Click on Appearance time and select the needed mark from teh dropdown list.

SSML tag

You can also add the mark to the script by using this SSML tag:  <mark name='1' /> , <mark name='2' /> , <mark name='3' /> ... <mark name='20' /> .
